Ship an order

Find and track your orders on the Orders page

What the Orders list shows, what each status badge means, and how to search, filter, sync and open orders in a batch.

Updated October 20, 2026

The Orders page is where you start shipping. It lists your Shopify orders with what Parcello still has to do for each one, and opens any order when you click its row.

How orders get into Parcello

New orders arrive on their own as soon as they are placed in Shopify. You don’t need to do anything.

The first time you open the page after installing, Parcello imports your recent orders automatically. You can run the same import again at any time with Sync Orders at the top of the page, for example after the app was uninstalled for a while. The import reaches back roughly 60 days: Shopify limits how far back apps without full order history access can read, even though the empty Orders page mentions 90 days. Syncing again is safe. Orders already in Parcello are not duplicated.

If an import fails, a red banner reads Sync failed: followed by the reason.

The setup checklist

Until your setup is complete, a Set up Parcello card sits at the top of the page with four steps, each marked Done or Incomplete:

StepDone when
Add a ship-from locationYou have at least one location on the Locations page
Connect a carrier and set it as the store defaultYour store default carrier is one you have connected
Add at least one box templateYou have at least one box on the Boxes page
Configure a variant with a boxAt least one product variant has a box on the Products page

Click Set up → next to a step to go to the right page. The card disappears once all four steps are done. See Getting started for the full setup.

Columns

ColumnWhat it shows
OrderThe Shopify order name, for example #1001
CustomerThe customer’s name, or the ship-to name when the order has no customer name
DateThe date the order was placed in Shopify
Dropship/3PL ItemsUnits that ship from a dropship location or a third-party fulfillment service, so Parcello doesn’t ship them
Parcello ItemsUnits Parcello ships. Cancelled units are not counted
ShipmentsParcello shipments plus fulfillments made outside Parcello. Hover the number to see the split
StatusThe fulfillment status and what Parcello still needs to do

Orders are sorted newest first, 50 per page. Use the arrows under the list to page through.

Status badges

The Status column shows the fulfillment status of the items Parcello ships:

BadgeMeaning
UnfulfilledNone of these units are fulfilled yet
Partially fulfilledSome units are fulfilled, some are not
FulfilledEvery unit is fulfilled

Next to it, a second badge says what Parcello still has to do:

BadgeMeaning
Ship in ParcelloAt least one unit still needs to ship
Fulfilled externallyEverything is fulfilled, but not with a Parcello label (for example, in the Shopify admin or another app)
No Parcello itemsEvery item ships from a dropship location or a third-party fulfillment service
Pickup, Local delivery, In-store sale or No deliveryShopify’s delivery method for the order doesn’t use a carrier, so Parcello made no shipment

When everything is fulfilled with a Parcello label, only Fulfilled shows.

Cancelled orders are hidden, except those with at least one shipment that already has a label. Those show a single Cancelled — void label badge. Cancelling an order in Shopify doesn’t cancel the carrier label, so open the order and void it. See Create and void labels.

Pickup and local delivery orders

Shopify records how each order is delivered. When the delivery method is in-store pickup, your own local delivery, an in-store sale or no delivery at all, Parcello creates no shipment and shows the method as the badge. Open such an order and a banner explains why, for example “The customer is picking this order up, so it doesn’t need a shipping label.”

If you want to ship it anyway, click Create shipment anyway in that banner. Parcello builds the shipment from your packing rules, and the order then behaves like any other.

Search and filters

Type in Search orders… to find orders by order name or by the customer’s first or last name. The search covers every order, not only the page you’re on.

Use the filters next to the search box to narrow the list:

FilterChoices
Parcello actionShip now, Done by Parcello, Done externally, No Parcello items
Fulfillment statusUnfulfilled, Partially fulfilled, Fulfilled
Date from, Date toOrder date range

Ship now matches the orders with the Ship in Parcello badge. Applied filters show as tags. Remove one with its ×, or clear them all at once.

Open orders in a batch

Select orders with the checkboxes on the left, then click Open in batch. The batch page lets you print labels and packing slips for all of them at once and fulfill the ready ones. Getting rates and buying labels for the whole batch are part of the Operations plan. See Ship many orders in a batch.

Pickups

A Pickups card can appear at the top of the page. It lets you book a carrier pickup for each of your locations and shows the pickups already booked. Booking UPS, FedEx and USPS pickups needs the Operations plan, and Estes and FedEx Freight pickups the Freight plan. USPS pickups are for USPS labels bought through Shippo, and Parcello books them through your Shippo account. On a lower plan, the card only says how many labeled packages are waiting, with a See plans link. See Book UPS, FedEx and USPS pickups, Bills of lading and Estes pickups and FedEx Freight bills of lading and pickups.

Troubleshooting

An order I expected is missing. Check that no filter or search is applied. Cancelled orders without a label are hidden. Orders older than about 60 days can’t be imported with Sync Orders.

An order shows Pickup but needs a carrier. Open it and click Create shipment anyway.

An order shows No Parcello items. Every item is set to ship from a dropship location or is fulfilled by a third-party service. Check the product’s ship-from on the Products page. See Locations and dropship locations.

The setup card stays on Incomplete for the carrier step. The store default carrier must be one that is connected. Pick it under Default Carrier on the Carriers page. See The Carriers page.
